A little love and cleaning would go a long way.

Liked:The location and the pool

Disliked:The dirty room. Our socks literally were black from floor. AC ran but didn’t cool the room. Overall needed a deep cleaning. Didn’t even offer any type of discount. Went out and bought 2 Fans ourselves.

AWFUL experience

Liked:Location was good...but when the cleanliness and accommodations are bad the whole experience ends up being dreadful.

Disliked:Awful for cleanliness....bathtub continously ran (not dripped but ran) hot water which kept the room very muggy/humid, there were not enough towels for our prearranged party, the microwave looked like something exploded in it... it took 8 clorox wipes to clean it, no working ice machine on the premises... there was no capacity to call the front desk. Sad to say :This stay was a complete mess...never again.

Just disappointed...

Liked:I like that is the cheapest motel in town. Beds are usually comfortable to sleep in and on this stay, I finally got to enjoy the swimming pool.

Disliked:Where to start?... - Ice machine was out of service, so we had to enjoy our drinks at fridge temp and got warmer the longer they sat at room temp. - Sign at the office said the swimming pool was open from 10am to 10pm daily but we didn't get to enjoy it one day until a little after 2pm when they finally opened the gate after doing some water quality testing. We wanted to swim earlier but couldn't because the pool wasn't available. - The room we stayed in could have been cleaned better. There were still some hairs in the bathtub and sink; the coffee maker pot was still dirty from the last time it was used. I requested a non-smoking room and as soon as I got in the room after check-in, I was hit with that cigarette smoke smell. You could tell people had smoked in the room before because there are burn marks in the hand sink. Just very unpleasant smell, especially when I don't smoke at all. Also, I saw one cockroach in the bathroom. I have stayed in this motel a few times and this is the first time I saw one. That makes me question the overall cleanliness of this place. - The one thing that made us very unhappy was their Wi-Fi signal quality. At the room we stayed, we could barely get any signal and when we did, it was just veeeeeery sloooooooow or just unresponsive. I visit Ashland to see my son and we like playing games online, so when the Wi-Fi doesn't work 90% of the time, yeah....we were beyond frustrated and upset. And to make matters worse, we couldn't even get to watch TV half the time because there was no signal at all (DirectTV, I believe) = I used to like staying at this place for the value and convenience, I have had issues with their Wi-Fi sometimes but nothing like this last time and seeing the cockroach in the bathroom is definitely a red flag for me. I would be happy to give them another chance if I knew beforehand that things have improved but if not, then I think I will have to find somewhere else to stay during my visits.

Liked:Location to our destination was primary. Parking at room door. Basic amenities met. Fridge worked fine. AC unit was very good.

Disliked:The room was not very clean, the floor was dirty and sticky. I had reserved a wheelchair accessible room and it was not. 5” step up, no bath access by wheelchair. Bath had hot water but shower controls and tub drain were corroded & broken but did work. A day before I got an email that because of Covid, services like house keeping were limited. Confused about that. We did not get towels or basic room cleaning the entire stay. Check In questioned my reservation even though I had a confirmation #. Eventually finding the reservation, but not providing an accessible room. I am an amputee so I am not immobile and for the short duration I made it work.
