Good price/quality with reasonable connection to Amsterdam South

Liked:The price quality and the flexibility of the staff is nice. Also the lobby and bar are actually quite ok

Disliked:The hotel is dated and the rooms need a fresh update. Seems that the owners are 'sweating the asset'

Disliked:The rooms are 40 years old and that means that a carpet is no longer acceptable, the bathroom is old, the air conditioning sets the temperature too high, and there was no working minibar. they need investors to refurbish and modernise the rooms

A restful stay in a beautiful city.

Liked:The property is well located in an upscale area in walking distance to the Rijkmuseum (20 mins) and other sights and tram lines. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety and of good value. The room was very comfortable and quiet. On the last day, it was convenient to store our luggage at the hotel before we were ready to reach our river cruise ship.

Disliked:We were 4 senior ladies (2 rooms for 2 nights) traveling from Canada and we had requested in advance an early check-in at 2 p.m. but our request was denied. We arrived at the hotel at 2 p.m. and the front desk clerk confirmed that even though our rooms were clean and ready to be occupied, we could not enter the rooms until 4 p.m. unless we paid a fee of 15 euros per room. I find that kind of corporate policy towards tourists outrageous and unfriendly. The cleaning staff did not work extra to prepare the rooms so why the extra fee? We were very tired from traveling overnight so we did reluctantly pay the fee.
