Fantastic holiday break

Liked:The food was delicious both at the restaurant and at the pool. Staff were very friendly. Special shout out to the chauffeurs, our cleaner for Athena block, the crepe guy and the guy with the ponytail looking after the pool bar! Pool and slides were great as was the accommodation. Arriving at 1pm local time and be offered lunch was very welcome.

Disliked:Reception staff could have been more knowledgeable about events. Booking a day trip with them had more back and forths than should be needed. Beach was ok but be sure to wear some shoes if you go in. We'd read in some reviews about mosquitos but didn't have much issue.

Great resort with a few quirks, but an amazing team makes it special

Liked:We had a really nice stay at Almyros Beach Resort & Spa. The resort itself is beautiful, with lots of greenery, clean pools, and good sports facilities—it really gives you that proper holiday resort feeling. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and were cleaned really well every day. The beach is lovely with soft sand and calm, clear water. The food was good, with enough variety for everyone in our family at every meal, and we greatly appreciated having the main allergens clearly written below each dish. What really makes this resort special, though, is the people. Every staff member we met was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. A special thank you to the Animation Team! You can genuinely feel the positive energy they bring. They’re always smiling and enthusiastic, but never pushy or over the top—just naturally making the atmosphere lighter and more fun. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do, and it really made our stay memorable.

Disliked:A few small things could use some improvement. The shower pressure in the room could be a bit unpredictable, and mosquitoes are very active in the evenings. The beach area also needs a little more regular upkeep compared to the rest of the resort—we found a wasp nest under one of the wooden umbrellas we were about to use, and there were some spiky beach plant pieces scattered around the sand. Adding a small beach bar there would also be a great upgrade. Lastly, the drinking water setup was surprising for an all-inclusive package. Bottled water isn’t included and the bars close at 11 PM, making it inconvenient to get water at night. While the filtered water stations are helpful, providing a couple of bottled waters in the room daily would be a small touch that guests would really appreciate.

Good facilities, but poor service and a disappointing all inclusive experience make it far from a 5 star hotel.

Liked:The hotel has good infrastructure and spacious rooms. The grounds are well maintained and the large swimming pool is nice. The location is quiet and suitable for a relaxing holiday for a family. However, it does not feel like a true 5 star resort, far from that..

Disliked:The hotel is significantly overpriced for what it offers. The all inclusive package is very disappointing, as bottled water and many standard international drinks are not included. Instead, guests can get local alternatives of Coca Cola, Sprite and other soft drinks, as well as low quality local wines and other drinks. Considering guests are advised not to drink tap water, charging extra for bottled water is difficult to justify. There is little entertainment for either adults or children. Apart from one large pool and a very small children’s pool, there is not much to do. There is another pool with slides, but it was almost always empty. Mosquitoes were a major issue throughout our stay. There were also bees everywhere, and some beehives attached to the windows of guest rooms, which suggests poor maintenance and should be addressed for safety reasons. Service was inconsistent. While a few members of staff were excellent, many employees in the restaurant and bars were not particularly welcoming or helpful. We were a family of seven and repeatedly experienced unnecessary difficulties when trying to sit together at meals, despite there being available space.

Relaxing pampering experience for adults and children, we would definitely love to come back!

Liked:Our junior suite with swim up pool was amazing, the attentiveness of the staff, everyone was very friendly, including the animation team. Great selection of activities all through the day. Tried the spa as well as the massage was absolutely fantastic, thank you, Lina! Car rental service was very easy to use. The loungers weren’t taken up with towels at 8am and which made our stay very relaxing, as we didn’t have to rush to get a space.

Disliked:The range of included drinks in the All inclusive package was limited compared to other resorts we’ve been to in Greece (eg, caipirinha, margarita.,, we’re not included). But service was pretty fast.
