I would give them another shot

Liked:Staff was friendly and attentive. My room was clean and the air worked well. However there were a number of things that werent either working or were not attended to by maintenance. 2 of the 3 treadmills did not eork, and there were no cleaning products in the gym. That is really basic stuff. Also my digital key never worked. Reportedly that is the case for several of the rooms, so i was just out of luck for a promised benefit. These can be fixed if management considers them a focus. Like my title says i would givr them another chance

Bed Bugs - No Hotel Response

Liked:We stayed at this hotel for a travel baseball tournament at Ripken. Unfortunately, we discovered bed bugs in the room the first night of our stay. We captured one in a bag (pictured) and showed the front desk where the employee took pictures of the bed bug. We had to drive home in the middle of the night with three small kids. After four phone calls and one email over a few weeks, the hotel manager has never responded. On one such call Hilton corporate said the hotel did their own investigation and found no bugs. That would be the definition of a conflict of interest - the hotel is incentivized to report no bed bugs even though we captured one and showed them. I can rationalize bed bugs from a prior guest, but the hotel response is a shameful way to operate a business.

Liked:This hotel was mediocre. The beds weren't particularly comfortable, the breakfast was just alright (cereal, waffles - nothing allergy friendly) and the service not helpful. We were supposed to get two beds and only had a king. When we called down for a roll away, we were told they didn't have any and to essentially suck it up. Also, there was a party in the lobby. It was a bit loud and there was food all over the area where the coffee area was. The rooms themselves were clean, so I'll give them that, but I would probably not stay here again. I expect more from Hampton

It’s just water

Liked:Hampton has been a go-to Hilton brand for us for >30 yrs. Bottles of water have been provided based on our Honors membership for years. Not at this location. Learned that this franchisee adheres to only the Hilton requirement of waters for Gold and Diamond members. Think about it. I can take 6 bananas and 6 apples from the breakfast bar or take the spare Kleenex box with me but I can’t have a complimentary water to put in my CPAP machine or to rinse after brushing teeth. The breakfast bar was unattended and all the hot food items were cold and yogurt was warm. After breakfast, had to go back to the room and wash off the bottom of my shoes with a hand towel because the floor at the coffee station was super sticky. The room was great, bed was great and despite prior request for a room away from the highway, the allegation was a full hotel and we could not be reassigned; the parking lots and breakfast room would find that a false claim. There are plenty of other hotels around and, if we need to stay in Aberdeen again, we will choose another property.
